At the request of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Apple and Google blocked 118 illegal casino applications in 2024.
At the request of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Apple and Google blocked 118 illegal casino applications in 2024.
"We continue to fight against illegal gambling. We have established clear cooperation with Apple and Google on this track, after the Ministry of Digital Affairs appealed, all illegal applications of the company are immediately blocked," wrote the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Mykhailo Fedorov.
In 2024, the following was blocked:
- 92 AppStore applications;
- 26 Play Market applications.
The minister also reminded that Ukrainians can report illegal casinos to Apple and Google by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Casino Blocking".
In addition to applications, 4,460 online casino sites were removed by order of the State Service for Special Communications.
