On the night of September 29, Russia again attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones. One of the strikes, for the second time in recent memory, hit the Parkovy Congress and Exhibition Center.
Military journalist Andriy Tsaplienko published photos and videos of the aftermath of the repeated shelling. The footage shows new areas of destruction and traces of fire inside and outside the building.
"After the night shelling and fire, the Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center building suffered serious damage. There are traces of fire inside and outside, so it seems that we can forget about holding events here in the near future. The realities of the capital, as they are," Tsaplienko noted.
The press service of the Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center announced the suspension of the complex’s operations after the first attacks due to force majeure. At that time, thanks to the timely evacuation of staff and visitors, casualties were avoided.
Earlier, dev.ua wrote that the latest Russian attacks damaged a number of data centers in Kyiv and caused disruptions in the work of Internet providers and digital services. In particular, after a series of attacks, the Cosmonova data center was disabled and will no longer work, so the company began restoring services from backup sites.
