Ukrainian company SHERIFF has received permission from the Ministry of Defense to provide services for protecting facilities from air threats. It is already looking for a manager for this area.
«SHERIFF is opening a new direction — sky protection. We are forming a private air defense service team and opening a vacancy for the head of the command center,» the company’s announcement says.
According to Dmitry Strizhov, the founder of the Sheriff holding, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has changed the very nature of security, and now business needs to be protected not only on the ground, but also from the sky.
«For Sherif, this is a logical extension of what we do every day: We make the world around us safer, and our clients' lives worry-free. «We can call it Total Security, security dome, or 360° security,» said Strizhov.
He added that in this way SHERIFF will cover part of the risk «which the state cannot physically scale to all facilities.» Dmytro Strizhov noted that the head of the private air defense command center needs a person who knows this system «not in theory, but in reality.»
This vacancy includes the following responsibilities:
operational management of the command center;
coordination of the work of operators to intercept and neutralize drones;
interaction with military units and building effective communication channels;
ensuring confidentiality and security of information exchange.
It is noted that the candidate must have practical experience in the field of air defense/missile defense or anti-drone operations.
Recall that private air defense is an experimental government project that allows critical infrastructure companies to create their own fire groups to protect the sky. Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers gave permission to create such groups for critical infrastructure companies regardless of their form of ownership.
