The cards of the relevant draft laws No. 15111-d, No. 16051-1, and No. 15460 with the signature of the head of state were published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada. The documents were returned to the parliament with the president’s signature on October 22.
Amendments are being made to the Tax and Customs Codes of Ukraine to introduce VAT on goods purchased through marketplaces. For online purchases worth up to 150 euros, VAT will be charged and paid directly by the electronic platform. At the same time, non-commercial parcels worth up to 45 euros remain exempt from VAT.
A European control system is being introduced, under which online services will automatically transmit information about their users' income to the tax authorities. This should make the rules for selling goods and providing services online completely transparent.
Recall that these laws were supported by the Rada on October 15. According to the Ministry of Finance, the new rules will bring about UAH 10 billion to the budget each year.
The new regulations are not expected to come into force until July 2027.
