A group of attackers from Sumy region created an entire network to distribute stolen data of Ukrainians through popular messengers and hacking platforms.
The group members acted according to a clearly developed scheme and illegally obtained databases containing confidential information about Ukrainian citizens. These databases included surnames, first names, patronymics, phone numbers, residential addresses and other personal information of Ukrainians, the National Police of Sumy region reports .
After obtaining the data, the attackers processed and structured it according to the needs of potential buyers. They then sold the information through specialized platforms on the Internet and messengers, in particular Telegram.

To hide their activities, they used cryptocurrency and anonymous payment systems. All financial transactions were conducted through controlled crypto wallets, and the funds received were converted through exchanges.
During the searches, computers, mobile phones, financial documents confirming illegal transactions, as well as evidence of connections with buyers of confidential information were seized from the suspects.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
