A new professional reboot program for veterans has been announced in Ukraine — Veterans Career Boost. How to participate?

Ukrainian Catholic University, IT product company Boosters, and the Genesis for Ukraine charitable foundation are launching the Veterans Career Boost program for veterans returning to civilian life and looking for a new professional vector. The initiative is designed to help participants determine their future career trajectory, gain new knowledge and skills, adapt their experience to the civilian environment, and prepare for future employment.

Why is it important?

According to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, and robota.ua, half of veterans need support in retraining, and almost 65% do not return to their previous place of work after completing their service. This creates a demand for new educational and career projects.

What does the program entail?

The program will run from August to November 2026 and will combine two offline modules in Lviv with a series of online classes. Participants will learn from professors from the Ukrainian Catholic University, top managers from the Ukrainian IT company Boosters, and invited experts from various industries.

The curriculum includes 13 thematic modules dedicated to the development of personal and professional competencies. Topics include:

  • leadership;
  • emotional adaptability;
  • financial and digital literacy;
  • AI tools for work;
  • personal brand and career navigation.

No prior specialized education or work experience in a specific field is required to participate.

In addition to training, participants will receive additional opportunities for development:

  • 10 educational vouchers of $500 each for further education, individual career consultations with the Boosters Talent Acquisition team;
  • free access to educational programs of the UCU Business School;
  • CV review and recommendations for developing your LinkedIn profile.

How to apply

Participation in the program involves a competitive selection of 25 veterans with the status of a combat participant.

You can apply until July 31, 2026 inclusive.

The selection results will be announced on August 17, and training will start on August 26 with the first offline module in Lviv.
