According to the case materials, on December 24, 2024, at about 2:30 a.m., together with accomplices, the programmer illegally attempted to cross the state border of Ukraine from Moldova in the Chernivtsi region outside the state border checkpoint.
The man was discovered by a border guard at a distance of 5,000 meters from the state border line on the outskirts of the village of Moshanets, Dnistrovskyi district, Chernivtsi region.
In addition, he committed malicious disobedience to the lawful order of the border guard — after repeated demands from the border guard to stop, he resorted to escape.
The man did not appear atthe court hearing. The case files contain statements in which he noted that he was informed about where and when the case would be heard, but asked to hear the case in his absence. The man pleaded guilty to the offenses.
The court found the former resident guilty of attempting to illegally cross the border and malicious disobedience to a lawful order or demand of a military serviceman or employee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The man was fined UAH 10,200. He must also pay UAH 605.6 in court fees.
The resolution enters into force after the deadline for filing an appeal has expired.
