The Bilyaivskyi District Court of the Odessa region considered the materials received from the border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on the administrative prosecution of a software tester of Halsey LLC who tried to flee Ukraine.

The Bilyaivskyi District Court of the Odessa region considered the materials received from the border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on the administrative prosecution of a software tester of Halsey LLC who tried to flee Ukraine.

Two LLCs with the word «Helsi» in their names are registered in Ukraine: «Helsi Ukraine», which works with data in the Helsi medtech product, and «Helsi.UA», which, like the previous one, is managed by Hels CEO Yevhen Donets. The court documents do not specify which legal entity the tester works for. However, it is likely not a medical service employee.
According to YouControl, LLC «Helsey» is engaged in trade and is related to Serhiy Pashinsky. However, as indicated in the register, the company ceased operations as of July 9, 2025.
According to the case materials, on July 5 at 3:50 a.m., 800 m from the state border, an AIT member was detected and detained together with other citizens of Ukraine, who attempted to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine to Moldova outside the established checkpoint.
The tester’s guilt in committing the specified offense is confirmed by the case materials, namely: the protocol on the administrative offense, the report of the head of the border guard inspectors' department, the diagram of the situation at the air force site, and the statement of the accused.
The court qualifies the actions of the AIT member as an attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine outside the checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine, committed by a group of individuals.
The court found the tester guilty and imposed an administrative penalty in the form of a fine in favor of the state in the amount of UAH 8,500.
The IT worker must also pay a court fee of UAH 605.60 to the state.
The resolution may be appealed within ten days from the date of its issuance to the Odessa Court of Appeal through the Biliaivskyi District Court of the Odessa Region.
