According to the case materials, on November 11, 2025, at about 5:00 p.m., the AI member intended to attempt to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine, outside the state border checkpoints, and was detected by a border patrol within the controlled border area near the village of Torun (territory of the Mizhhirsk settlement community of the Khust district of the Zakarpattia region).
The court programmer did not appear at the hearing, but was notified of the date, time, and place by sending an SMS message to the mobile phone number he indicated in the application, in which he was notified of the consideration of the case in the Mizhhirsk District Court of the Transcarpathian Region.
The IT guy himself stated in his explanations to the border guards that he was allegedly going to visit his girlfriend, who lives in the city of Vynoradivt, Beregov district, Zakarpattia region. But the court decided that such statements are of a general nature, do not contain specific data about the girl, and are not confirmed by any evidence. Despite proper notification of the date and time of the case and the opportunity to submit relevant documents or other data to confirm them, the programmer did not do so. Under such circumstances, the explanations he gave do not refute the factual data established by the evidence.
No mitigating or aggravating circumstances have been established.
The court found the AIT employee guilty of committing an offense and imposed an administrative penalty on him in the form of a fine to the state revenue in the amount of UAH 3,400.
The specialist must also pay a court fee.
