Project Zero Two technology has been created in Ukraine to protect streams from power and internet outages
Co-owner of the media production team OBLOGA and caster Maincast Oleksandr Samoilenko announced the creation of a tool codenamed Project Zero Two. Co-owner of the media production team OBLOGA and caster Maincast Oleksandr Samoilenko announced the creation of a tool codenamed Project Zero Two. The technology ensures broadcast continuity by automatically switching to a backup source and allows retransmission of the stream to multiple platforms without additional load on the director’s computer.
Samoilenko reported this on his page on the X network (Twitter).
According to the developers, the solution was originally created for the internal needs of the OBLOGA_R6 studio as a profitable alternative to expensive paid services. The technology is designed to solve two key problems of streamers — sudden power or Internet outages and high requirements for computer power during multi-streaming.
Project Zero Two works on the principle of receiving two signals simultaneously. The system constantly keeps a backup stream active in the background, the content of which can be changed. If the main signal from the director disappears, the service instantly switches the broadcast to the backup, preventing the player from crashing or the appearance of a black screen.
Once the connection is restored or another streamer is connected, the broadcast automatically returns to the main source. Since the entire infrastructure is hosted on a separate server, rebroadcasting to multiple sites does not burden the director’s workstation.
🎬 While everyone is currently discussing the juicy new GTA 6 trailer, I want to introduce you to our own technology project.

«For the viewer, this is a continuous broadcast. For the streamer, it is less load and risks. For the studio, it is a much more reliable infrastructure of large broadcast networks,» emphasized Oleksandr Samoilenko.
Project Zero Two has already been integrated into the Project Epsilon calendar CRM system, developed for the needs of the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC26). The first full-fledged test and official launch of the development will be the broadcasts of the EML Stage 2 tournament.
The technology is designed not only for professional studios, but also for individual independent streamers. After the tournament, the OBLOGA team plans to start connecting the first external partners and share the technology with other Ukrainian broadcast organizers.
