Global Drone Academy announced that they have become the first training center to simultaneously obtain certification from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine as a UAV pilot school and a license from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to provide vocational education.
«This means that the training of operators at GDA officially meets state standards — both for military service and for professional development in the civilian sector,» the school’s press service explained.
The Global Drone Academy noted that its graduates can apply for the award of the VOS after the BZVP and consideration of documents by the CCK or military unit.
Recall that last year, GDA became the first private school for UAV operators to be certified by the Ministry of Defense. At that time, it reached the level of training 300 specialists per month.

Really cool to see private initiatives like this being recognized officially it’s a big step not just for the Global Drone Academy but for UAV education in Ukraine as a whole. Giving these schools vocational status means more pilots trained to real standards, both for civilian tech jobs and military support, which feels especially important in today’s world.
