Rada finally voted for the long-suffering "OLX tax"
The Verkhovna Rada generally supported draft law No. 15111-d on the introduction of international automatic exchange of information on income received through digital platforms and taxation of such income.
The Verkhovna Rada generally supported draft law No. 15111-d on the introduction of international automatic exchange of information on income received through digital platforms and taxation of such income.
241 MPs voted for this bill.
«It was a beacon for the IMF. But overall, a very sensible text emerged in the end, which was supported by all business associations. True, a number of edits failed in the hall, but not critically,» People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak commented on the voting results on his TV channel.
At the same time, he predicted that de jure the law will come into force in January 2027, but de facto, «until all memoranda are signed and the exchange system is launched,» the new norms can only come into effect «closer to 2028.»
Recall that on April 8, the Verkhovna Rada took the first step towards introducing taxes on income from online platforms by supporting the so-called «OLX tax» bill in the first reading.
Meanwhile, in March, the Verkhovna Rada did not vote for the «OLX tax» because the deputies lacked the votes.
The law applies to services such as Airbnb, Glovo, Uklon, Bolt, Uber and other platforms for providing services, selling goods, renting real estate or transport. Most companies supported the aforementioned law, but its path to voting was very long, and along the way it underwent many changes.
