Engineers from Defika have created the VIK-2K, a tactical electronic warfare backpack that has already been codified by the Ministry of Defense.

The main task of the VIK-2K is to create a protective zone around a fighter or group by suppressing the control and data transmission channels of enemy drones. First of all, we are talking about drones like the DJI Mavic, which are actively used by the enemy for reconnaissance, correction and strikes by dropping ammunition.

The system operates in two operating bands — 2.4 and 5.8 GHz — with a total output power of 100 W. This allows for effective interference with the drone’s communication channels at a distance of 50 to 250 meters, depending on terrain and terrain conditions. For assault groups, this means creating a local «field of silence» in which the drone loses stable control and the ability to target.

In combat conditions, this often becomes a decisive factor: a few seconds of disrupted communication or lost control stability can completely disrupt an attack or prevent the enemy from making fire adjustments.

One of the key differences of the VIK-2K is its form factor. The complex is integrated into a special assault backpack with an aluminum frame, which simultaneously performs a protective and load-bearing function. This approach allows you to use the system directly during movement — without stopping and without losing the pace of the attack.

The antenna can operate in several configurations:

  • be attached to the backpack,
  • be used in the operator’s hands for more precise aiming, ● be mounted on a tripod for stationary work.

This makes the VIK-2K a versatile tool for both offensive and defensive operations, as well as for guarding positions and checkpoints.

The complex is designed to operate in difficult field conditions with temperature extremes, dust, and mechanical loads. An active cooling system prevents electronics from overheating during prolonged operation, which is critical for high-power electronic warfare equipment.

VIK-2K supports three power options, ensuring maximum adaptability in the field:

  • Internal battery (up to 2 hours of battery life)
  • External 220 V network with simultaneous battery charging
  • External 24-29V DC power sources, including batteries for FPV. Quick battery replacement and the availability of a remote cable up to 6 meters long allow the operator to remotely control the vehicle and place the electronics in a protected location.

VIK-2K comes fully equipped: backpack with integrated electronics, directional antenna, batteries, remote control, tripod, cables

and a charger. This allows the system to be put into operation immediately without the need for additional adaptation or rework by the unit.

This approach is especially important in combat conditions, where there is no time for complex settings or searching for compatible components — everything must work immediately and stably.

Military personnel who are already using the VIK-2K note its practical benefits in real-world conditions. The system allows reducing vulnerability during movement, deployments, and rotations. In many cases, the presence of portable electronic warfare has been a factor in avoiding losses or minimizing the consequences of a drone attack.

It’s not just about equipment, but about an additional level of psychological confidence for fighters who understand that they have a means of active protection against threats from the air.
