ESM.one changes name to AWERTI and moves from esports specialization to online “all content analytics”
Ukrainian startup ESM.one, the creator of the Esports Charts, Streams Charts, and DoHuya platforms for esports analytics and live streaming, is rebranding to AWERTI, reflecting the company’s intention to expand beyond esports analytics.
Ukrainian startup ESM.one, the creator of the Esports Charts, Streams Charts, and DoHuya platforms for esports analytics and live streaming, is rebranding to AWERTI, reflecting the company’s intention to expand beyond esports analytics.
ESM.one, now AWERTI, was founded in 2016 by Ivan Danishevsky, Artem Odintsov, and Igor Kryvych.
“ESM.one is our first attempt to organize data in a world where esports was rapidly gaining momentum. We wanted to collect analytics about esports viewing and make it understandable and accessible — for both fans and large international brands. And we certainly succeeded: Esports Charts, which became the flagship product of ESM.one, is without exaggeration the largest and most accurate database of esports broadcast analytics in the world,” said AWERTI CEO and co-founder Artem Odintsov.
In an interview with Forbes Ukraine, he added that the name Awerti combines the first letters of the Qwerty keyboard and the word advertise, a reference to advertising analytics. According to him, the startup helps companies in various fields, from gaming to politics, to better understand their streaming audiences in real time.
“AWERTI is more than a rebrand. It reflects our evolution from niche esports analytics to a full-fledged ecosystem of services covering all online broadcast content,” says Odintsov.
The press release notes that AWERTI is a product company specializing in streaming platform data for the esports, sports, and entertainment industries. It transforms data from Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, and other platforms into detailed and understandable information for brands, investors, event organizers, and content creators.
The company's portfolio includes:
Esports Charts is the flagship product for esports viewership analytics, the leader among esports viewership analytics platforms. Launched in 2016, it provides accurate viewership information across 25+ platforms.
Streams Charts is a platform for deep analytics of streamers and content on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and others. Launched in 2020, it tracks over 50 million channels in real time.
DoHuya is an analytics of Chinese live streaming through the two largest platforms in the country - DouYu and Huya.
Chess Watch is the world's first in-depth analytics service for live streaming chess tournaments. Like Esports Charts, it collects accurate statistics on views, audiences, and broadcasts, but focuses exclusively on chess content.
MIRAI by Streams Charts is a new direction, an influencer marketing agency.
AWERTI says its products are used by Red Bull, Amazon Alexa, Electronic Arts, AMD, Ubisoft, Logitech, and other companies. In total, the startup has over 1,000 B2B clients, with a turnover of $3 million in 2024. Half of the amount comes from customers in the esports niche, but with the rebranding, the founders want “90% of revenue to come from non-esports.”
"The company began its journey in Ukraine - today, under the AWERTI brand, its services help global companies make strategic decisions and shape the future of the live streaming industry. Ahead are new projects, names, and challenges," the startup notes.
AWERTI plans to raise $5 million in investment for its development. In the previous round in 2019, the company managed to secure $1.5 million in funding. The startup is currently working on launching a viewer survey system.
"We know their number, location, behavior. But we don't know their thoughts. This is critically important for advertisers," Artem Odintsov noted.
Earlier, Esports Charts reported on how much top Ukrainian esports athletes earn . The company identified the top ten richest players, and said that the rating is relevant for 2025, but may well change in the future.
