During 2024, the register was replenished with 9,389 people. In 2023, there were 3,700 registered. The following year, their number increased to 11,593. That is, the number of game addicts on the list increased 3 times, reports Opendatabot.
On average, 780 people were added to the register each month last year, which is 2.8 times more than in 2023, when the list was updated by approximately 280 people per month. The largest number of self-restriction applications was received in April — 1,041, and the smallest in June — 524.
In addition, in 2024, 1,496 people were excluded due to the expiration of the limitation period, which can last from six months to three years.
In total, 99% of all entries in the register are voluntary. People apply for self-restriction to restrict themselves from accessing gambling establishments and participating in gambling for a certain period of time.
In total, 14,979 people have been added to the registry since its creation, of which 2,172 have already been excluded.
Only 1% are people whose access is restricted by a decision of the KRAIL. Over the entire time the register has existed, there have been 169 such decisions. Almost all of them took place last year — 140 decisions. However, not a single person has been added to the register by a court decision.
Recall that this year the Cabinet of Ministers liquidated KRAIL and instead established the state agency "PlayCity" . Now this institution will be responsible for regulating the gambling and lotteries market, as well as maintaining the register of gambling addicts. The new state agency was headed by Gennady Novikov, who previously worked at KRAIL.
