According to Ukravtoprom, 494 new Renault Dusters appeared on Ukrainian license plates in November. The Chinese electric crossover BYD Leopard 3 was in second place with 385 registered cars. The Toyota RAV4 took third place, with 318 registrations over the month.
Next in the ranking are several more models that Ukrainian buyers see primarily as family and universal cars. The Volkswagen ID.UNYX electric crossover took fourth place with 298 cars sold. The BYD Song Plus came in fifth with 289 cars. Behind them were the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (240 registrations), Hyundai Tucson (227), Zeekr 7X (221) and BYD Sea Lion 06 (220). The top ten is rounded out by the Skoda Kodiaq, which was chosen by 204 buyers in November.
The presence of the BYD brand stands out: three of its models entered the top 10 at once. This indicates that Chinese manufacturers are establishing themselves on the market not with individual niche models, but with a full-fledged line of crossovers. The same list also includes the well-known «Japanese» and «European» brands to Ukrainians, namely: Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai and Skoda. This indicates a mixed demand structure, where buyers choose between new Chinese brands and proven players.
This seems to be a stable trend, which Ukravtoprom has been talking about for a long time: crossovers are consistently displacing other body types in the top sales segment. Higher ground clearance, a spacious interior and a roomy trunk make them a universal option for both the city and trips on bad roads. Combined with the expansion of the offer of electric and hybrid versions, this helps crossovers maintain the status of the main bestsellers of the Ukrainian new car market even in wartime.
