The IT sector ranked second in the anti-rating of salary opacity among industries — second only to banks, investments, and leasing. According to robota.ua, 44% of IT vacancies are published without specifying salaries.
In first place in terms of opacity, LIGA.net reports, are banks, investments and leasing, where salaries are indicated in only 31% of vacancies. IT with an indicator of 44% is in second place, and non-profit organizations are in third place (45%). For comparison, the highest level of transparency is demonstrated by science and education, as well as culture and show business — there salaries are indicated in 100% of vacancies. The state and security sector have a slightly lower indicator (over 90%). In general, 73% of vacancies on the market contain information about salaries.
The study also recorded a gender gap in salary expectations in the IT sector: women, on average, ask for UAH 11,559 less than men.
The data was released during the presentation of the new robota.ua service «Transparent Work», which allows you to find out the median salary in Ukraine for various specialties, as well as the average salary expectations of candidates. For the study, 864 positions in 3,711 cities and towns were analyzed and 1,158,891 salary values were obtained.
