Russia is testing a 500 km/h jet-powered interceptor drone, the Roscherk. They are also developing a model that is said to be capable of intercepting cruise missiles.
The Russian company DOFA-Tech has introduced the DF-1 Roscherk jet interceptor drone, which is already undergoing factory testing. The developers promise a speed of up to 500 km/h and a flight range of up to 250 km. The company is also working on a much more powerful interceptor, which theoretically could even shoot down some cruise missiles.

The company is also working on a much more powerful interceptor, which theoretically could even shoot down some cruise missiles.
The company spoke about the new developments at the Drone Congress 2026 forum in St. Petersburg, Defense Express reports .
"Rosherk" is designed to intercept high-speed drones. It weighs 15 kg, of which up to 1.5 kg is for the warhead. According to the developers, the drone can stay in the air for up to 50 minutes. To launch, the drone is installed on a launcher, and a solid-fuel accelerator helps it quickly gain altitude and speed. According to the developers, the interceptor can even be launched from the roofs of buildings.
The interceptor body has been made entirely of metal. The company explains that this will make it easier to manufacture in large batches. The developers claim that two stages of testing have already been successful. The next one is scheduled for November, after which the company wants to move on to mass production.
However, it is currently unknown exactly how the drone finds targets, maintains communication, and navigates to them.
The company also presented the DF-3 “Viper” project, which should be much larger and faster than its predecessor. The mass of the “Viper” should already reach 240 kg. It is promised a maximum speed of up to 850 km/h and a flight range of up to 800 km. According to Defense Express, such characteristics would theoretically allow the device to be used even against certain types of cruise missiles.
Externally, the Viper resembles the Italian Aeritalia G.91 light fighter-bomber. Defense Express suggests that Russian designers may have borrowed its aerodynamic scheme.

The company also has a third project, the DF-5 Iskra jet attack drone. It is promised a range of up to 1,200 km, a speed of up to 850 km/h, and a warhead weighing 20 kg.
However, unlike Roscherka, other projects appear to be only in the early stages of development.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that in 2025, Russia tested another interceptor drone, which resembles the Ukrainian STING from the Wild Hornets.
