The situation is complicated by the fact that ballistic missiles are produced not only in Russia, but also in North Korea and Iran. However, there are significantly fewer interceptors in the world capable of shooting them down, claims "Flash".
In his opinion, the solution is to increase the production of PAC-3 interceptors, which are used in Patriot systems to destroy ballistic targets. However, this cannot be done quickly even in the United States. According to Beskrestnov, Ukraine could well organize the assembly of missiles from ready-made components.
However, even with a license, the components still need to be sourced from somewhere. After all, the most complex components are manufactured by a limited number of companies, and their production capacities are already loaded with orders for years to come.
For example, the American Boeing produces homing heads for the PAC-3. This is the part of the missile that helps it find a target and hit it accurately. According to “Flash”, the queue for such components is scheduled for several years. So it is necessary to simultaneously increase the production of engines, guidance systems and other parts, without which the missile simply will not fly.
