The Russian analogue of Microsoft 365, MyOffice, is laying off almost all of its staff, leaving only technical support.

According to Russian media, the developer of office software MyOffice (New Cloud Technologies) notified its employees by email about the layoffs in mid-May. According to sources, the company plans to retain only technical support staff, while all others will be laid off.

The developer of office software "MyOffice" (legal entity "New Cloud Technologies", NHT) in mid-May sent a letter to employees about mass layoffs. This was reported to Vedomosti by sources close to the company. According to one of them, it is planned to dismiss everyone except technical support workers. Many departments have been reduced almost completely, confirmed the second source of the publication.

The media source did not specify the exact number of employees (in 2025, the company had 1,013 employees).

There are over 600 people in the chat room of former employees of "MyOffice". One of them says that they tried to fire them without compensation, but they organized a trade union. Then, under the threat of lawsuits, the staff began to offer normal conditions for terminating employment relations. According to him, in a number of cases, employees were tried to be fired under far-fetched pretexts, in particular, for being 10 minutes late for work, delaying reports on business trips for one day, etc.

The company's revenue for 2025 halved to 1 billion rubles, while the loss over the same period increased more than three times to 4 billion rubles. In general, the developer's financial performance has been deteriorating for three years in a row. The press service of MyOffice explained the situation by the slowdown in the growth of the office software market in Russia. "The main wave of government procurement has ended, large import substitution projects in the corporate sector have been largely implemented. This affected the company's financial performance," Frank Media said in the company's press service.

Until 2022, the company grew against the backdrop of import substitution: government agencies actively purchased its flagship product, an office suite. In 2022, the developer increased revenue from 842 million rubles to 3.3 billion rubles and showed a net profit of 386 million rubles, but already in 2023, financial results began to deteriorate.

The wave of layoffs has also hit other large Russian companies. For example, in the first quarter of 2026 alone, Yandex laid off 2,300 employees, Sberbank laid off 2,000 people, IT group Softline laid off 500 people, and Sovcombank laid off 1,600 employees.
