Rozetka will not increase discounts for sellers affected by shelling. 44 sellers are preparing to sue
44 Rozetka sellers who lost their goods after the Russian strike on the company’s warehouse in Brovary are preparing to sue the marketplace. Together, they estimate their losses at approximately UAH 112 million. Because of this, they asked to increase the discount on Rozetka services from 30% to 50%. However, the company refused, claiming that due to its own large-scale losses, Rozetka cannot afford more support right now.
44 Rozetka sellers who lost their goods after the Russian strike on the company’s warehouse in Brovary are preparing to sue the marketplace. Together, they estimate their losses at approximately UAH 112 million. Because of this, they asked to increase the discount on Rozetka services from 30% to 50%. However, the company refused, claiming that due to its own large-scale losses, Rozetka cannot afford more support right now.

After the warehouse was destroyed, the marketplace offered affected sellers a 30% discount on some of its services. However, a group of 44 sellers who used Rozetka Fulfillment consider this support insufficient and are demanding a 50% discount, the validity of which would depend on the amount of losses incurred by a particular seller.
The group's coordinator, Yaroslav Rachok, claims that for some entrepreneurs, almost all of their merchandise capital was stored in the warehouse. His family business, he says, lost about UAH 9 million, and monthly turnover after the destruction of goods decreased sixfold — from UAH 3 million to UAH 500,000.
According to Raczko's calculations, under current conditions, a 30% discount could stretch the recovery of losses by about 10 years. The entrepreneurs have already sent Rozetka a collective claim and are preparing to go to court if it is refused.
Rozetka insists that the 30% discount is voluntary support for sellers, not compensation for destroyed goods or fulfillment of contractual obligations. The company explains that the marketplace itself suffered significant losses due to Russian attacks and is providing a discount to the extent that it can financially withstand. According to the company, Rozetka's revenue from the services covered by the discount is even lower than the amount of the discount itself.
The marketplace calls the destruction of the warehouse a military force majeure. The company has already engaged lawyers and plans to seek compensation for losses using Russian assets seized abroad. According to Rozetka, most sellers agreed to the proposed conditions and continue to work on the platform.
Earlier, dev.ua reported that three Russian ballistic missiles completely destroyed the Rozetka warehouse complex in Brovary. The company called it the largest financial loss in its history and estimated the damage at billions of hryvnias.
