«There are currently several cases where it is necessary to interact with state bodies to register a divorce: there are cases when it is only the DRACS, and cases when it is possible only through the court. We plan to launch a service that allows spouses to divorce online if they do not have adult children, and they can submit a joint application to Diya», Koval said in an interview with «Channel 24».
Beta testing of this functionality was carried out back in 2024. This summer, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov posted a viral photo of the CEO of the IT company Astronomer with his mistress and part-time HR director of this company at a Coldplay concert.

Now, Fedorov’s deputy, Valeria Koval, has announced that divorce in Diya will be available in early 2026. The service is designed for spouses who do not have minor children together, have made this decision together, and want to go through the process «calmly, without unnecessary visits to institutions».
«Diya will then check the availability of information in the DRACS register regarding the presence of children; if there are none, after one month — this is a regulatory requirement — state registration of the divorce will be carried out», Koval explained.
Recall that earlier the government adopted a resolution on the dissolution of marriage in the Diya application.
