A 20-year-old developer created a Ukrainian touch typing simulator: YouType offers personalized training tailored to the user's level

Ukrainian developer Nazar Yurkevich recently launched his own touch typing simulator. The 20-year-old IT professional works and develops the project independently.

Who is it useful for?

YouType is suitable for:

students and schoolchildren;
office workers;
programmers and testers;
chat and support operators;
everyone who works a lot with text.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or already have experience — the training is adjusted to your level,” the project website says.

YouType offers:

Typing simulator for words and sentences.
Timed testing with certificate.
A Ukrainian layout course, after completion of which the user receives a certificate.
Personal training based on your mistakes. The site collects letters from words in which the user makes the most mistakes and creates a training program for the weak months.
Competitive mode (gamification elements) "Keyboard Race" and shooter. The first is a real-time duel between two groups for text typing speed. The shooter is a dynamic game for training typing speed with a combo system, ult, and boss levels.

According to the developer, the advantage of his product is the analysis of emerging difficulties and help on how to fix them. While most simulators only show speed and accuracy.

The system automatically determines:

complex key combinations;
dynamics of progress over time.
