«We are ready to share with you patch 1.3 with over 1200 changes, fixes, and improvements related to AI/A-life, balance, game missions, optimization, locations, sound — that is, almost all aspects of the game,» the developers noted .
With this update, they made the movement of mutants during combat smoother, and also improved their behavior during ambushes when the player tries to hide on objects. Non-player characters also have improved reactions to the sound of footsteps.

The developers also announced that they have reduced the chance of encountering a random A-life encounter, as well as weakened the protection against anomalies in the «combat» suits and improved them in the «scientific» ones. In addition, STALKER 2 now has different death screens for the game’s main character, depending on its cause.
Overall, patch 1.3 brings a lot of improvements, but it doesn’t address the economic aspect, which is still a complaint from many players. They complain that the money from completing quests and selling loot is barely enough to repair equipment. However, this shortcoming can be easily fixed with the appropriate modifications, which GSC promised to add support for on the Xbox console.
Previously, the company’s COO and creative director, Maria Grigorovich, hinted that after the success of the STALKER 2 game, opportunities appeared at the GSC Game World studio not only to create additions to the game, but also something more.
