SBU detained a traitorous IT worker who set up "video traps" to adjust attacks on Kyiv
Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained another FSB agent in Kyiv, who was coordinating Russian missile and drone attacks on the city and spying on the movement of echelons of the Defense Forces.
Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained another FSB agent in Kyiv, who was coordinating Russian missile and drone attacks on the city and spying on the movement of echelons of the Defense Forces.
The investigation revealed that the FSB agent was a 24-year-old IT specialist from a metropolitan university. The occupiers recruited him when the man was looking for "easy money" in Telegram channels.
At the direction of the Russian special services, the attacker recorded the consequences of the aggressor's air attacks on Kyiv and monitored the locations of Ukrainian air defense.
To do this, the agent rented apartments in multi-story buildings with FSB money, the addresses of which were sent to him in advance by the curator. In the windows of these apartments, he installed video cameras with remote access for Russian special services.
In this way, the occupiers spied on potential targets in real time during the Russian Federation's combined attacks on Kyiv to adjust repeated strikes on the city.
At the same time, the enemy used covert online broadcasting, hoping to reveal the coordinates of Ukrainian air defense combat positions.
In addition, the agent additionally placed similar "video traps" near the tracks of Ukrzaliznytsia, where, according to the enemy, military trains could move through the capital region of Ukraine.
The SBU counterintelligence detained the suspect "red-handed" in a rented apartment.
A video camera was found at the scene, and a phone containing evidence of his contacts with the FSB curator was also seized.
The perpetrator is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
