«Katran is a high-tech development from the Ukrainian military company Military Armored Company HUB. Information about missions with this drone is classified, but it has become a real game changer at sea,» Fedorov said .
Military Armored Company HUB is a platform of joint Ukrainian development and Ukrainian manufacturers, companies that have reached serial production. It includes Katran, a company in the field of development and production of combat robots.

The naval drone described by Mikhail Fedorov is called KATRAN VENOM. The developers describe it as an «innovative autonomous platform for performing complex assault operations on water and in coastal areas.»
«Thanks to advanced protection systems, artificial intelligence, and sensors, this drone is a powerful tool for performing combat missions,» Katran notes.

The drone also has a number of defense systems, including automatic threat recognition to protect against enemy guidance systems, the use of smoke and heat traps to evade missiles and artillery shells, and electronic warfare + electronic warfare systems.
In combat, the KATRAN VENOM uses velocity and laser guidance sensors to monitor current conditions and can automatically capture targets with their numbering and tracking. The developers say that the drone is effective against small vessels, landing craft, water drones, as well as port infrastructure. It can also be used for reconnaissance and support of air and water operations.
The manufacturer’s website notes that KATRAN VENOM is still under development, but Mikhail Fedorov’s post suggests that the Defense Forces have already used it in their missions.
