Ukrainian startup Frontline launches robotic turret "Storm" into mass production

Frontline, a company engaged in the development and production of robotic systems, announced the launch of mass production of the «Storm» turret for the 40 mm Mk 19 grenade launcher.

Frontline said that «dozens of operators» have already been trained to use the weapon, and two batches have already been sent to the front. Production is «at full capacity» to produce even more devices, the startup noted.

«The main feedback from the field? Never before have AGS been so accurate. The Burya combat turret allows for high-precision fire at a distance of 2 km with a margin of up to 2 meters, allows for quick target switching, and ensures the safe operation of the grenade launcher from cover,» Frontline reported.

As the company told Militarnyi, production is fully supported by orders for the 1st quarter of 2025 through direct orders from military units. Currently, Frontline is working on expanding its capacity to meet the demand from the military for robotic remotely controlled systems.

«The plans are to combine the turret targeting system with data from reconnaissance UAVs to transmit coordinates for destruction in live mode,» the startup said about its plans.

The turret for the MK-19 «Burya» (BNRM) has the following characteristics:

  • Scope of application: remotely controlled turret for MK-19
  • Remote control 50-100 m using a tablet
  • Targeting via UAVs and «Nettle».
  • Recoil damping system for better accuracy.
  • Number of ammunition: 32 -64 pcs.
  • Optional: installation on a robotic platform
  • Weight: 47 kg.

Recall that earlier, Ukrainian manufacturers Frontline and Tencore combined their developments into a single combat system, which will allow soldiers to fire from a grenade launcher without exposing themselves to danger.
