In the capital’s public transport, temporary restrictions on the operation of digital fare payment services are possible. This is due to routine and technical work following a series of hostile attacks on data centers.
This was reported by the official channel of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA). Technical work began at 10:00 PM and will continue approximately until the first half of September 30.
During system maintenance, passengers are advised to pay for their travel directly with a bank card if possible. Those who do not have this option are advised to purchase the necessary trips in advance before the start of technical work.
"Trips purchased before the start of technical work will continue to be validated. However, trips purchased during technical work will temporarily not be validated. They will be saved and available for use after the services are restored," the Kyiv City State Administration noted.
The city administration emphasized that possible disruptions are temporary, and specialists are working to minimize the consequences and restore stable operation of the systems.
Earlier, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky said that Ukraine plans to protect its digital infrastructure in several ways at once. Some systems can be placed underground, some can be transferred to the cloud or abroad, and for individual objects, all of these options can be combined.
