«Timothy Snyder is very popular, especially his new book, Bloody Lands. This is a reprint that was highly anticipated, and it was recently released, so it’s a success. Also, Maxy Kidruk’s Colony is also quite popular, it’s holding its own,» an employee of the Sense bookstore named Roman answered a question from a dev.ua journalist.
According to Roman, many people also bought the book «Sword Language: How the Soviet Empire Spoke» by Yevgenia Kuznetsova during the event.
«It’s very popular and stays in the top of our club quite often, and here it also spread very quickly. If we talk about the artist, then in general I notice that a lot of people took Ilarion Pavlyuk. We had all three of his books and there are almost none left. Kurt Vonnegut shares the attention with him at about the same level,» the bookseller added.
In addition to the listed items, the bookseller also noted the popularity of the book «Beyond Perekop There Is Land» by Anastasia Levkova.
He is not sure that the books purchased at the event can be seen as a trend that the AIT people gravitated towards in their reading tastes.
«For the most part, there is no trend that people gravitate towards a particular genre. Rather, it’s either proven authors or someone very popular, whom they heard or read about somewhere on social networks, and so on,» Roman expressed his opinion.
During the approximately four hours of operation of the Sens bookstore’s mobile layout, some book positions were completely scattered, and in total, according to the bookseller’s estimates, 150-200 books were sold during this time.
