Five Kyiv residents, aged 20-25, organized an online casino at home. They used a home IP address and the personal data of a person abroad, the Bureau of Economic Security reports .
One of the defendants registered a domain name and paid for it for three years, after which he created a website that provided access to slot machine simulators and other illegal gambling games without a license on the Internet. Potential players received the link to register on this site through a "support service" operator in one of the messengers.
The investigation found that the suspects used a network of drop accounts to circulate funds, whose bank accounts were provided to players to top up their accounts on the casino website. The monthly turnover of the online casino reached 1 million UAH.
During the investigation, detectives seized computer equipment, mobile phones, bank cards, mobile operator SIM cards, cash, as well as draft records and digital evidence of illegal activity.
Two men were notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 203-2 “illegal activities in the organization or conduct of gambling, lotteries” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
