CEO market by mono from monobank Artem Shevchenko is leaving the company.

«The almost three-year journey is coming to an end. It was an enchanting journey — from an idea to a working project that was able to generate hundreds of millions of hryvnias in turnover every month. From three people at the start — to a team of 130+ professionals today. Monomarket has become an integral part of the Ukrainian e-commerce market and was able to significantly change its landscape. And this project still has many achievements ahead. Thank you to the team — a very strong team that we managed to gather and unite around the idea. Thank you to the founders of monobank for the trust and belief that this is possible. Thank you to the partners who took difficult and risky steps — and in the end everyone benefited from it. My stage in this project is complete. I’m moving on. Another large e-commerce project has been built. Let’s go to the next one,» he wrote on Facebook.

Shevchenko does not say why he was fired.

However, as Scroll.media writes, the management of monobank sought to develop the project more quickly, which constantly led to conflicts within the team. Several sources in the market also report that monomarket tried to aggressively attract new sellers, which ultimately scared them away. And the launched campaign to distribute 200 million hryvnias was eventually ended ahead of schedule.

However, over the past year, the monomarket has grown significantly: we are talking about tens of times to several billions of turnover through the platform, while at the beginning it was about hundreds of thousands of hryvnias of trades per day. Thanks to the monomarket, Foxtrot managed to grow significantly, the company overtook Rozetka in the electronics niche. The Bazaar service was also launched, which will compete with OLX for physical clients.

It has not yet been announced who will be the new project manager.
