The association included 16 people’s deputies from different factions, and Pavlo Frolov, Serhiy Taruta, and Oleksandr Fedienko were elected as its co-chairs.
«Our war-tested experience in countering large-scale cyber aggression and developing innovations in wartime gives Ukraine a unique opportunity to influence the creation of international legal frameworks that protect democracies while accelerating investments in high technology and defense capabilities,» Frolov believes .
The Ukrainian association will join the Global Trusted Tech Network, an international coalition of democratic governments and tech institutions aimed at countering digital authoritarianism, coordinated by the Krach Institute for Technology Diplomacy (USA).
«Ukraine is among the first countries that not only supported the initiative, but also became its full-fledged participant at the parliamentary level,» noted Ilona Khmeleva, Secretary of the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU), a partner of the Global Trusted Tech Network in Ukraine.
Recall that earlier the Ministry of Digital Affairs developed a «White Book» — a document that describes in detail the approach to implementing future regulation of artificial intelligence in Ukraine and the steps on the way to it.
