Cloud technology provider Ucloud invested 0.5 million Euros in its own AI infrastructure.
As the company said, these investments were made to rent capacity to customers, as well as provide access for test deployment of LLM models.
Recently, Ucloud received the most powerful hardware on the market from NVIDIA for deploying AI projects. We are talking about 4 NVIDIA H200 (2024). Such infrastructure is capable of serving the largest operational LLMs, such as DeepSeek V3.
For less demanding AI tasks, Ucloud offers infrastructure based on NVIDIA L40 and L4 processors.
Ucloud is now inviting everyone to test its new cloud AI services and is formulating future prices. The company promises that prices will be market-based. In general, the company aims to make the infrastructure for deploying large language models and GenAI available not only to large companies that can invest in their own hardware, but also to any Ukrainian business that can rent the cloud as needed.
GigaCloud said that they started investing in AI infrastructure in 2021, when they launched a GPU cloud. “Since last year, we have completely switched to purchasing AI-ready servers,” the company said.
In total, GigaCloud's investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure last year reached UAH 71.5 million.
De Novo is preparing a new investment project to expand infrastructure for AI/ML projects in Ukraine. This was announced by the company's CEO Maksym Ageev at the Forbes AI Day conference.
"We plan to invest about 40 million hryvnias in the development of the ML Cloud cloud service and increasing the computing resources of this project. A significant part of these funds will be invested in NVidia tensor processors of various models," said Ageev.
Prior to this, the company had already invested 60 million hryvnias in building a cloud infrastructure for AI/ML in Ukraine.
The company presented its pilot project in early 2024. In particular, then De Novo experts talked about cloud services based on NVIDIA H100 and L40S accelerators and the Kubernetes as a Service platform.
