An American AI startup is creating a smart bookmark for paper books that will help you remember what you read. The price of the issue is $130
Two developers from the US have created a startup called Mark, which is working on a product of the same name — an artificial intelligence bookmark for paper books. According to the idea, it can help summarize and remember the information read by sending reports to a smartphone.
Two developers from the US have created a startup called Mark, which is working on a product of the same name — an artificial intelligence bookmark for paper books. According to the idea, it can help summarize and remember the information read by sending reports to a smartphone.
According to the developers, this bookmark (actually, like any regular one) will help you continue reading from the place where the reader stopped. This is reported by Gizmodo.
However, Mark’s AI bookmark will send a summary of what you’ve read to your smartphone after you close the book, and will also create a summary based on information previously associated with the book’s title. The idea is that when you return to it later, you’ll quickly remember where you left off.
The developers say it’s a device for those who feel their attention is constantly «fragmented» and the books they read go «underutilized.» Specifically, the product is aimed at «Americans who prefer physical books to e-readers and tablets,» the description says.
«Just as Strava keeps you motivated in fitness, Mark keeps you inspired in reading,» the startup notes, referring to the social element of the bookmark, which lets friends know that you’ve paused your reading as soon as you close a book. The AI bookmark will also measure your reading pace and summarize key topics. There’s also a «Mark Wrapped» feature that will track books you’ve read, similar to services like Goodreads.
The Mark bookmark is not currently available, but it is already available for pre-order, with the price of the gadget being $130.
Previously, a mobile app developer from London created a machine vision app called touch grass: reduce screentime to combat the habit of mindlessly scrolling through news feeds. It forces the user to go outside and literally touch the grass, capturing it on camera, which opens up access to the most distracting content.
Тест dev.ua
