"All the enemy's bets will be on speed". Expert reveals how the Russians will try to counter Ukrainian interceptor drones
Defense Ministry advisor and radio technology specialist Sergey «Flash» Beskrestnov believes that the effectiveness of the Defense Forces' anti-aircraft drones will soon reach 90% and predicted possible countermeasures from the Russians.
Defense Ministry advisor and radio technology specialist Sergey «Flash» Beskrestnov believes that the effectiveness of the Defense Forces' anti-aircraft drones will soon reach 90% and predicted possible countermeasures from the Russians.
According to Flash, Russian engineers will develop evasion systems, lay flight corridors, and attempt manual control at very low altitudes.
«We will cope with this and all the enemy’s bets will be on speed. The transition of the Shahed jets from 280-320 km/h to 350-400 and the addition of the Geranei-5 format at 500-600 km/h. At one point, all our interceptor drones may turn out to be useless,» the expert believes.
He called on Ukrainian manufacturers to immediately begin developing systems for intercepting high-speed strike UAVs.
«There is no need to become the „one hundred and first“ manufacturer of drones against the current Shaheds, we need to work for the future,» said Sergey Beskrestnov.
Previously, the CEO of Technari, Gennady Suldin, expressed the opinion that Ukrainian interceptor drones may lose their relevance if the Russians install more powerful engines on the Shahed, because they will not be able to catch up with them.
