The number of SIM cards in the networks of Ukrainian mobile operators has decreased by 1.5 million. This is evidenced by data from the NKEC report for 2024, which was published this week.
If in 2023 there were 50.3 million SIM cards active in Ukraine, then by the end of 2024 there were 48.8 million. This is less than the figure for 2022, when the large-scale Russian invasion began, of 49.3 million.
Meanwhile, the average monthly revenue of mobile operators from each SIM card is growing. In 2024, it amounted to 117.1 UAH (versus 102.1 UAH in 2023). Annual growth is 14,7%.
30.6 million SIM cards were used for 4G (LTE) service.
And the number of M2M SIM cards has increased significantly — from 3.66 million in 2024 to 3.92 million in 2024. M2M SIM cards are used to organize communication with various devices — alarms, cars, etc.
