As majority owner Denis Shtilerman noted during his speech at a meeting of the temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada, Fire Point itself may refuse such a step, Forbes reports.
«The application is under consideration. Most likely, we will refuse,» he said, specifying that the reason for such refusal is the increase in the company’s valuation during this time.
Meanwhile, according to Shtilerman, the Antimonopoly Committee sent an application for long-term consideration, which could take up to nine months, and the binding agreement on the deal was designed for six months.
Recall that in March, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine returned the application of EDGE Group from OAE for a deal with Fire Point — and the most high-profile deal in Ukrainian DefTech for $2.5 billion hung in the air.
In early January, it became known that the UAE-based defense group EDGE had submitted an application to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to acquire Ukrainian Fire Point.
