Slack now lets you create interactive graphs and reports right in chats
A new feature has appeared in the Slack messenger that allows you to create interactive reports, surveys, dashboards, presentations, microsites and other tools directly in the chat. Thanks to the Slackforce Surfaces technology, the user simply needs to describe their idea to the Slackbot bot, and the AI will independently collect the necessary data from work correspondence and connected services, such as Google Drive or Salesforce.

Thanks to the Slackforce Surfaces technology, the user simply needs to describe their idea to the Slackbot bot, and the AI will independently collect the necessary data from work correspondence and connected services, such as Google Drive or Salesforce.
Once Slackbot generates such an element (Surface), it can be shared with colleagues or pinned to a channel. Other team members can view the interactive content, interact with it, and leave comments, writes The Verge.
“You no longer need to export data to other services to understand it. You simply ask Slackbot to build a dashboard, presentation, or report right where the discussion is already happening, and your entire team can collaborate on them,” said Ryan Gavin, Slack’s chief marketing officer.
In one of the demonstrated examples, a user asked Slackbot to create a retro arcade-style visualization of AI token usage. In response, the AI assistant instantly generated an interactive dashboard that displayed token spending across different departments — sales, design, and development.
The feature can be used for many other tasks: for example, to create a live dashboard of a support queue or to generate a financial forecast in the form of a “weather forecast” based on data from connected applications.
