The planned sabotage could have caused a large-scale fire, caused material damage worth tens of millions of euros, and endangered the lives of about 70 employees who were in the building.
As the publication «Military» reports, citing a statement from the police of the Slovak Republic, operational and investigative measures were carried out under the code name «Drone». The ÚBOK anti-crime unit tracked down the saboteurs after receiving intelligence from the Slovak Information Service and Military Intelligence.
Skyeton confirmed the fact of the attack on its foreign facilities and emphasized that the enemy is systematically trying to harm Ukrainian arms manufacturers.
«The Russians regularly try to attack our production facilities in Ukraine and our reputation. The recent attack on our production in Slovakia is yet another proof that Ukrainian gunsmiths are already at their throats, and therefore we are on the right track. We thank all the services and the police who helped prevent the attack and detain the participants in the crime,» said a Skyeton representative.
During the searches, mobile phones, tools, an action camera, a homemade plan of the facility, and a mixture of gasoline and polystyrene (homemade napalm) were seized from the suspects.
Investigators have charged three foreigners with preparation for a particularly serious crime of general danger. Two of the suspects were detained in Slovakia and are seeking their arrest, while the third member of the group was arrested in Germany on the basis of a European warrant.
Skyeton is a developer of Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems, including the Raybird-3 reconnaissance UAV, which is actively used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. To ensure the production of equipment and increase supply volumes, the manufacturer has deployed additional sites in EU countries.
In May 2026, a Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital destroyed the Skyeton office. «We understood that sooner or later Skyeton would become a target for the Russians, so we were prepared for this and relocated production facilities to different parts of our country and abroad,» the company noted.
