According to the developer, the idea for the project came spontaneously late at night. «I was sitting, counting my cards on the tenth turn and thinking how convenient it would be to track. Plus, I wanted to share my progress with a friend and compare collections,» Vladislav said in a comment to dev.ua.
Since programming is Tsvetkov’s main profile, he decided to quickly solve this problem using vibecoding. The main tool was Claude Code, which the developer is now actively using in his work. Thanks to the AI toolkit, a working prototype was ready in just 30 minutes.
After finishing the work, Vladislav posted a link to the STALKER 2 × ATB Checklist website in Threads. The results were unexpected: in the first 5 hours, when the social network algorithms picked up the post, the site was visited by more than 2,500 users. «The traffic pleasantly surprised me,» the author notes.
The project has already received support from Vladislav Tsvetkov’s employer. KTC, which has a network of smart technology stores and online retail, maintains a thematic blog about STALKER on YouTube. It has proposed integrating the tool into its activities and, to further encourage users, plans to add a symbolic promotional code for a discount from the store.
Despite the success of its tracking service, the developer is soberly assessing the product’s life cycle and does not plan to globally expand the functionality.
«We need to be realistic: the hype around this collaboration will not last long, a rapid decline in interest is inevitable. Therefore, the tool will remain lightweight and will perform the basic task for which I created it,» Vladislav Tsvetkov noted.
Recall that yesterday, April 15, the GSC Game World studio, together with the ATB supermarket chain, launched a collaboration dedicated to the game «STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl». Fans of the game can collect thematic collectible cards and paste them into a special almanac-artbook, which turned out to be a rare artifact due to speculators.
