Ukrainian solo developer Andriy Rogalya has released a free browser game called SOLAR into early access, which allows you to explore the Solar System on a real scale.

The developer announced the release of the project dev.ua. SOLAR works directly in the browser on desktop and mobile devices, does not require the installation of additional software or registration.

A key feature of the game is the integration of voice control based on artificial intelligence. The player simply needs to press the “Voice” button and give a command in their own words — for example, “let’s take off,” “dock,” or “let’s fly to Mars.” The artificial intelligence recognizes the content of the request and performs the maneuver or explains the reason why it is currently impossible to execute the command. The Whisper system, which supports Ukrainian and English, is used for speech recognition.

"You sit in the cockpit of a ship on a launch pad on Earth and fly through a real solar system on a real scale. You take off, dock with the ISS, land on the Moon, fly to the James Webb Telescope," the developer notes.

Technically, the project is implemented using Three.js, React, and WebGL. The interface is designed as a cockpit with instruments and controls. Flight routes and the location of celestial bodies are calculated according to a real astronomical calendar. The player can complete missions to supply and transport cargo, earn credits, regulate the flow of time with a solar-powered chronograph, and also see other pilots nearby in a shared space.

Currently, the SOLAR interface is adapted in seven languages, including Ukrainian, English, German, Polish, French, Spanish, and Italian.
