These maneuvers were previously reported by the American publication The Wall Street Journal. According to the publication, a small group of Ukrainian UAV crews were able to conditionally «defeat» an «enemy» group formed from units of NATO countries within one day, within the framework of a training scenario.
The Ukrainian team included: drone-bomber operators of the 412th Nemesis Brigade; FPV crews of the 427th Rarog Brigade; FPV operators of the International Legion, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine; representatives of the Delta situational awareness system.
It was about the training format, during which modern scenarios for the use of unmanned systems in combat conditions were practiced.
The Ukrainian military emphasized that technology has already radically changed the battlefield, and Ukraine’s experience in drone warfare is unique to partners.
«Ukrainian units are willing to share their experience of drone warfare with Western partners. Ukraine is most interested in NATO troops rethinking the tactics of conducting modern combat operations and preparing for the Russian threat as quickly and efficiently as possible,» the fighters note.
The exercises in Estonia became another example of how the combat experience of Ukrainian UAV operators is integrated into the training of allies and influences the transformation of military approaches in Alliance countries.
