«In March, at Nova Poshta, we launched the NOVA IDEA reform program, which will make the company more flexible to change, growth, innovation, and more efficient. To do this, we need to debureaucratize and deregulate, reduce the number of unnecessary processes that do not benefit customers, and, conversely, strengthen those processes that create value. We divided our employees into those who touch parcels and, accordingly, participate in the main process for which customers pay us money, and those who do not touch them. The latter should help the main process or improve it, and everything unnecessary should be cut off. Easy to say, hard to do,» said Popereshnyuk.
According to him, the reforms began «from above» — with top managers, who had to identify unnecessary processes in themselves and stop implementing them. «Of course, this is extremely difficult work: people usually resist change at all levels, and this is expected, because leaving the comfort zone is always difficult. Nevertheless, we have already achieved something!», — said the businessman.
Two thousand employees were offered to move from «office positions» to positions where they had to touch parcels. «It is nice that 1,200 of them stayed to work at Nova Poshta and create direct value for customers, and only 800 people decided to leave the company,» Popereshnyuk shared the results.
He calls another achievement of the company «the birth of the Team of Reformers ‘from below’.» «We have a corporate chat in Telegram, where 12,000 employees can boldly (anonymous nicknames are allowed) share work problems, suggest improvements, or communicate with me directly. I admit, for me this is the most valuable communication, because it is these people ‘from below’ who best understand the real situation ‘on the ground.’ There were so many problems that they voiced that I decided without hesitation to create a Team of Reformers from those who actively advocate for change and regularly propose solutions,» Popereshnyuk noted.
Today, the Reformers Team consists of 75 colleagues from all regions and levels of the company who volunteered to participate in the development and implementation of changes. «The leader of the Team was our activist colleague Vita Bespalova, the head of the 10th branch of Nova Poshta in Irpen. For the first time in my life, hiring people was very simple — I took the most active and caring people who volunteered for this job. So we are moving forward with reforms both «from above» and «from below,» said the co-founder of Nova Poshta.
He added that thanks to the initiative, dozens of projects have already been launched to improve the efficiency of Nova Poshta: transparency of procurement, optimization of internal communications, changes in motivation systems, technological improvements, and much more.

Recall that American technologist Elon Musk has left the White House, but the DOGE agency he heads will continue to operate.
