On September 15, NABU reported that the investigation did not collect enough evidence of criminal offenses in the actions of officials of the Ministry of Defense and the company Archer.
The Bureau added that the investigation began due to financial monitoring materials from one of the European Union countries.
«After a full investigation of all the circumstances of the procurement, a legal decision was made. It should be noted that initial assessments do not always lead to the establishment of a crime or prosecution. At the same time, such cases become the basis for improving work and internal procedures,» the NABU statement says.
On October 5, the head of Archer, Oleksandr Yaremenko, reported that NABU searches were conducted in the company’s offices and employees' homes, during which phones, computers, and documents related to the implementation of government contracts were seized.
The NABU explained that the searches were conducted due to suspicion of violating delivery deadlines by more than 9 months, which led to the Armed Forces of Ukraine not receiving the necessary equipment worth almost UAH 200 million in time.
«Foreign companies affiliated with supplier companies are in the focus of attention of Western law enforcement agencies due to possible money laundering,» the NABU noted.
Later, Yaremenko thanked the Ukrainians for their strong support and noted that without it, the company " would have been eaten without salt .»
Archer (Thermal Vision Technologies) is a well-known Ukrainian manufacturer of thermal imaging sights and electronics. The company turned 15 years old in July 2025.
