Technical support specialist Denis Polovian created his own script to track operational notifications about missile danger. The tool helps to respond to real ballistic launches and not miss them among the mass of messages during prolonged air alerts.
The main advantage of the development is the automatic filtering of a large stream of news notifications in Telegram. According to the IT expert, in the conditions of daily drone attacks, it is easy to lose vigilance and not notice the threat of high-speed targets.
"In a state of constant anxiety due to the threat of UAVs and enemy air defense, it is easy to miss the real exits of ballistic missiles. So I coded a script that tracks keywords in selected channels. If there is a match, it launches a soundtrack, which is a warning about danger," Denis Polovian said on LinkedIn.
The development allows you to configure individual tracking parameters, as well as remotely control the system from a smartphone:
the script analyzes selected Telegram channels for the presence of specific text triggers about a threat to a specific region;
if keywords are detected, a loud audio track is played;
Through the integration of your own Telegram channel, the user can send commands to the script directly from the phone. For example, stop the loud sound for a certain time (stop N), turn it off completely (stop), or resume operation (start).
Denis notes that the solution requires a computer that is always on. To save electricity and operate silently, the specialist uses an old laptop with the screen turned off to run the script.
"I have set up notifications for 5 channels in Kyiv and added 11 key phrases that these channels use to notify about ballistics. By the way, my own channel is among these five. Thus, through it you can not only run commands, but also check the correctness of the script," the developer concludes.
