Stable, but there is something to strive for. Where does Ukraine stand in the ranking of mobile and fixed internet speeds?
In October 2025, Ukraine maintained a stable position in the international Internet speed ranking Speedtest Global Index.

According to MediaSat, our country ranks 70th in the world in terms of mobile Internet speed (minus two positions compared to September).
The average mobile data download speed is 58.52 Mbps, and the average upload speed is 13.49 Mbps. The connection latency is 26 ms, which should be sufficient for functions such as video calling, watching videos, and working with web resources.
As for fixed Internet, Ukraine ranks 75th in the world in terms of broadband speed, again losing two positions compared to September.
The average download speed is 88.92 Mbps, and the average upload speed is 91.03 Mbps. The latency of 5 ms provides high connection stability, so fixed Internet in our country is well suited for online gaming, video conferencing, and transferring or downloading large files.
Meanwhile, global internet speeds are much higher. In October 2025, the average global mobile internet speed reached 99.93 Mbps for download and 13.74 Mbps for upload.

As we wrote, in August, the telecommunications company Kyivstar tested Starlink satellite technology — Direct-to-Cell — in the Zhytomyr region.
During tests (Speedtest), it turned out that the download speed is 3 Mbit/s, and the upload (uplink) is approximately 0.5–0.6 Mbit/s.
