MEGOGO noted that in 2025 the service gained access to HBO Max as an official partner of the service launch in Ukraine, introduced MEGOPACK Y in collaboration with Google, and also acquired the rights and showed the Usyk-Dubois II fight, UPL matches, and Ukrainian futsal broadcasts. MEGOGO’s library was replenished with over 12,000 new objects, of which 1,267 were of Ukrainian production.
«2025 was the first year when the team began to systematically use AI to optimize resources: this allowed the creation of over 5,471 hours of subtitles for documentary content and the first 27 hours of Ukrainian dubbing,» the MEGOGO press service said.
The company also continues to invest in classic localization: a total of 3,467 hours of content in Ukrainian were produced. This was done by its own studio MEGOGO VOICE (317 hours) and partner companies Tak Treba Production, Sunnysiders, and 15KZ.
MEGOGO said that over the year, the anti-piracy department removed 534,000 links from Google search and over 15,000 illegal sports broadcasts (collectively across all countries where MEGOGO operates). In particular, during the protection of the Usyk-Dubois II fight, 312 pirated streams were quickly blocked, mainly on Twitch and YouTube platforms.
Demand for content in Ukrainian is growing, and the industry is moving toward models that allow translation to scale faster — without losing quality for key releases.
AI is becoming the new standard for rapid localization, especially for niche genres. AI tools help quickly add subtitles for non-gaming content, take over all the routine video preparation, and automatically add detailed descriptions and tags to make content easier for users to find.
Premium content still requires high quality. Alongside fast technological solutions, there is a continued demand for classic voiceover and editing, especially for top films and TV series.
Strong brands and story continuations win in the selection of digital premieres: this is a way to reduce the risk of selection in an environment of excess supply.
Ukrainian content ceases to be a separate shelf and becomes part of daily choice. In 2025, interest in Ukrainian titles will stabilize as a trend — from comedies and documentaries to event releases.
MEGOGOG noted that although «Sirko the Dog Lived» was available for only 7 days (from December 24), the musical entered the TOP-10 Ukrainian films of 2025 in terms of viewing duration and took 5th place in the rating. On the day of the premiere, the project became No. 1 on the platform, for the first time in history ahead of Hollywood hits in terms of views.
