Car insurance against war risks

In any IT system, redundancy is built in: backups, replicas. Backup communication channels exist precisely because an engineer does not count on "somehow it will pass." He assumes that something will break, and calculates in advance how much it will cost to survive it. It is surprising that the same approach rarely reaches his own car, which is parked in the yard under the open sky.

The anxiety we have learned to ignore

During the years of the Great War, many learned to live with constant background anxiety and pretend it wasn't there. You wake up to the sound of a drone, check the map, in the morning you automatically look out the window to see if the car is intact. There is no panic here, but there is a quiet daily workload that takes away a little attention, the same one that is then needed for a complex work task.

For many of us, a car has long ceased to be just a means of transportation. It is an asset worth several tens of thousands of dollars, often new or premium, purchased over years of work. And it often sits in the open air. At the same time, the wreckage of an enemy drone is not interested in your salary and accident-free driving record.

Here, rational people often behave illogically. We take out an extended warranty on a laptop or smartphone, keeping a financial cushion for several months. And we leave a car for a nominal $40,000 without any protection against the risk, which in our reality is probably the highest right now. Usually not because we have weighed it and decided to refuse. We simply do not reach this calculation, because thinking about the arrivals is unpleasant.

Simple calculation

"For years, classic CASCO did not cover military risks. It covers road accidents, kidnappings, and natural disasters, but arrivals were left out of the policy. This gap is closed by a separate product from the ARX insurance company, CASCO "Iron Dome" . It covers damage or complete loss of a car from missiles, drones of any type, and their debris. This also includes the case when a drone, for example, hits a building and the car is damaged by debris from this building or the drone itself," notes Yuriy Bondar, Director of the ARX Corporate Sales Development Department.

The tariff starts from 0.8% of the car's cost, without hidden fees. For a car worth $40,000, this is a few hundred dollars for an asset that could otherwise be lost entirely overnight. The car is insured for its actual value, and in the event of a total loss, compensation is paid within the insured amount. At the same time, the Iron Dome policy is autonomous. It is issued even without the main CASCO, and it does not matter whether you have valid policies with ARX or any other insurance company. You will not have to buy an unnecessary package of services.

Registration without leaving home

The mandatory car inspection with photo and video recording is carried out remotely via the MyARX application, so there is no need to go to the office and stand in line. You can choose the insurance term that suits you: 3, 6 or 12 months. A shorter term is convenient when you are planning to relocate or sell your car or just want to try the product first. The policy is available for new and used cars up to about 15 years old, and if necessary, it is expanded with civil risk options, from vandalism to natural disaster.

Behind the policy is a company with over 30 years of experience in insurance and 17 years of leadership in CASCO, not a platform that tests another hypothesis on clients. ARX pays out UAH 7.7 million daily.

“I deliberately don’t say ‘don’t worry’. Such advice doesn’t work, you know that better than me. Anxiety doesn’t disappear from persuasion. It goes away when you close a specific item on your own list of risks and no longer return to it mentally every night. Insurance doesn’t stop drones, no one claims to do that. But it removes one line from the list that’s spinning in your head at three in the morning. You sat down once, counted, made a decision, and no longer keep this task in the background. Attention is freed up for what really needs it,” notes Yuriy Bondar.

ARX also added that "IT professionals pay every day to relieve themselves of unnecessary burdens: for normal monitoring, for managed services, for tools that take away routine. Car insurance against military risks is in the same coordinate plane."
