Who can apply?
All Ukrainians, regardless of place of residence, can apply, without age restrictions. The basic requirements for admission to Berkeley Haas are standard for MBA programs: a bachelor’s degree with an official translation of academic transcripts, a GMAT or GRE certificate, a confirmed C1 level of English (TOEFL/IELTS), two letters of recommendation — from a current supervisor and from a person who knows the candidate’s work well, as well as motivational essays. An informal requirement is at least two years of full-time professional experience.
A key requirement from SET University and Tokarev Foundation is the presence of an idea that will have an impact on the development of Ukraine’s technology sector through entrepreneurship, investment, research or education. In case of successful admission, the fellow becomes an ambassador for the Ukrainian technology sector: participates in SET University and Tokarev Foundation events, speaks at conferences and publicly talks about the learning experience.
What the program provides
The UC Berkeley Haas MBA is a two-year program in California with access to the Silicon Valley ecosystem: venture capital funds, technology companies, and the entrepreneurial community.
How to apply
The process consists of three steps. First, you need to fill out an Expression of Interest form — this is a preliminary step that does not yet constitute an application to Berkeley. Then, the SET team will contact candidates, send a complete list of program requirements and explain the timeline, as well as provide free consultations on the admissions process. Gathering documents and submitting an application to Berkeley is the sole responsibility of the candidate. If admission is confirmed, the Tokarev Foundation pays the scholarship.
For detailed admission requirements, visit the Berkeley Haas website. Additional information for Ukrainian candidates is available at International Applicants.
Submission of the Expression of Interest for the Scholarship: Round 1 — by September 3, 2026, Round 2 — by December 31, 2026.
Official application deadlines for Berkeley Haas: Round 1 — September 10, 2026, Round 2 — January 7, 2027.
