A priest from Ternopil region, Andriy Novosad, developed the mobile application «My Confession» for Android, where you can learn everything about confession, prepare for the sacrament of repentance, and even write down your sins.
«Spiritual Majesty of Lviv» writes that 27-year-old priest Andriy Novosad serves in the village of Lozy, Ternopil diocese of the OCU. The priest independently developed the application «My Confession» for five months, and now the application can be downloaded from PlayMarket. Currently, the application works only for Android, but, according to Andriy Novosad, in the future he plans to develop a version for iOS.
The priest says that in today’s world it is important to have everything at hand: «Whenever I prepare for Holy Confession and the Divine Liturgy, I read a lot of prayer texts. They are not collected in one place, so I have to take many books — the prayer book, the Service Book, the Typicon, etc.»
Metropolitan Nestor Pysyk, who heads the Ternopil diocese of the OCU, noted that he likes the My Confession application, and during the development process, Andriy Novosad listened to his opinion: «First, he made a trial version, came to me, said: this is what I want to create. I showed everything. I gave some advice on what could be improved and blessed it. And now he has already released the application fully — officially.»
«Several people wrote to me that they really liked it — in particular, the ability to make notes where you can write down your sins to better prepare for Confession. Therefore, there are already people who have actually tried how it works — they liked it,» the bishop emphasized.
